Sounds exactly like The Recruiting Edge. I did all their dirty work for them, I was their head hunter for truck drivers, when it came time to PAY OUT. Scott Shaver DID NOT. I would watch The Recruiting Edge and NOT do any business with them. Also all you trucking companies out there beware of The Recruiting Edge and Scott Shaver. He does not pay out his people after they do all the work, he keeps their money. If I were you as a company, I would DROP him and his company. Scott Shaver and The Recruiting Edge is a scam in my opinion and to others. I am sure it will only take time to drop this company.

Hello, my name is Donna Cade. I went to the Gathering for over a year. I meet alot of Godly brothers and sister's. I was proud to call this church my home. In fact, I miss it greatly. I was an infant growing there, because I was raised in a broken home. These people was my family. My daughter became a teen age Mother. This church support her with love and guidence for God. Her pastor Chuck and his wife gave her a car so she could take her son back and forth to the doctor and go to work to support her son. The church gave her a baby shower. It truly break's my heart to read the thing's I have read tonight. If any of us do wrong, we will answer to God. Let's look into our on soul's and ask God to fix our broken soul's. I went on the internet to find the Gatherings website because I was not able to attend church today and surely was not expecting to find this website. I believe that anytime you give money in Jesus name if the person receiving the money is not doing what they have implied they were doing with the money God will take care of it. God knows the intentions of your heart and we are suppose to tithe it says it in the bible. Along with giving that tithe you are suppose to have faith. I have attended the Gathering several times then had to stop for awhile because I had to work on Sundays but never have I been in a position where I was able to give a big check but EVERY time I have attended there I have spoke with Gene and Karen. I have felt they have been approachable and very nice. It is not our place to judge. If you don't feel it is the right place for you to attend then just simply do not attend. Why spend so much time pointing fingers at other people where there is so much in our own lives we can change. When I attend there same as any church I attend I give glory to God not to the pastor standing up there sharing his word. A pastor is a person just the same as we are and they are accountable for their actions to God just the same as we are probably more. If their is wrong doing then God will take care of it. Life is to short for being so angry and bitter. If you feel you have been done wrong just pick up and move on. We are accountable for OUR actions not actions of others. When we stand there on judgement day we can't say I did this because they did this it don't work that way. It will only be YOU did this. I have so much peace in my life since I have started focusing on the positive instead of the negative.

WOW! Well, I for one have had an amazing experience with The Recruiting Edge, nothing but positive. I have been in the transportation industry for 15 years, 12 as a general manager and 3 having owned my own staffing company. I have have nothing but praise for this group, best thing to happen for me when the opportunity presented itself; i'm happier than I have ever been in the workforce. I've been going there for awhile now, I would guess on and of starting in October and pretty strong now since March maybe April. My best advice to those of you that think Gene doesn't have time for you, remember he is just one man, and he is not the God that you need to be seeking. Now if your goal is to become a bigger part of the church than go see David Zavona, David May, David Mac gees there are a lot of David's there. Or you can go see Jeff Williams, Dan Tilley, and Andrew Rup. These people are there just about every day of the week and are the most welcoming people you will ever meet. I have volunteered at the church a lot and often just show up looking for something to do, so I know that these people are at the church almost every day working on something so if you are interested in helping please come on by the doors open at 9:00am Monday - Thursday and around 6:00am on Sunday. If you want someone to notice you do something to get noticed. I don't think my helping out means that much but I have been graciously thanked several times by Karen and Gene for the help that I have given. - Guy

I love the Gathering...ive been going since they were in the old gym. Maybe Gene is selfish. And maybe i went through like 10 youth pastors. But i believe Gene has good intentions. He says some akward and weird things sometimes when hes on stage...but he has lead me in the direction of God most my life. People do listen to you. Maybe not through email or the way you want, but they are always approachable to your face. Gen and his family has helped my family alot. With counsoling and guidance. There is always someone to talk to. Just this past Sunday we prayed and praised God and it was so powerful...we talked about God putting the joy back in our life. I dont think sitting on your computers and talking bad will make you look better...so coming from a teenager, maybe you should stop. Its not very nice. God bless.

With four services, the church is meeting the needs of many East Tennessee residents. They even built a balcony so more could attend a service. I agree with the air of love. My wife and I are going to be involved as we grow with our walk with the Lord. I attended the Gathering and volunteered for many different activities. I was never called. The first time I filled out a card at Pathways I received a call and a CD of their own music at the beginning of the week. This is the church for us.

Why in the world would anyone 'make an appointment' simply to 'meet' the pastor, of any church? Pastor Gene and Karen visibly place themselves in the lobby, usually after every service greeting newcomers and members alike. They frequently have newcomer luncheons so folks can get to know them. They're available to chat with at just about every church function. They hold small group bible studies in their own home for who*ver would like to join in...and "pastor doesn't love his flock"!? Seems to me you have had many opportunities over the past two years to meet both Pastor and his wife. To publicly post such accusations against him and his wife is an abomination.

When I spoke to TREC when all this happened I was told that the money was in escrow and was protected. Never hear or saw anything come out of TREC. They are useless and if they have anything to do with this law I am sure they are protecting their interest and their Con's Real Estate system!

It is all TREC's fault that this happened again! If a rental company sees some other company close the door and walk away with hundreds of thousands of dollars with nothing done to them why not steal some for yourself. God will forgive you just ask Libby!

The only hope of getting your money back is if you used a credit or debit card to pay for your stay.
