She told me that the guards where who she was depending on and she has not heard from them? I you are aware that the guards would contact her- could you give them the Sheriffs Dept. number and ask them to call her each time they see her? That is crazy!!! Am I being lied to by the Sheriffs Dept?

Someone who needs to talk to Det. Hodges needs to tell her to talk to the guards in the Security Building at the entrance of Cobbly Nob about the comings and goings of the Vicks. Someone reported that they cannot be located. Tell her the guards would be glad to notify her of their arrival.

Robert and Libby Vick also have a camping trailer parked at Greenbrier Island Campground, 2353 E. Parkway, Gatlinburg, TN 37738 (865) 436-4243. The eye witness reported they have been known to stay there some. There would be a place where one could maybe find them.

According to eye witness accounts, Robert and Libby Vick are coming and going thru Cobbly Nob to their home. Plus they are actively renting Castle on the Green and Mountain Critter Lodge. If someone wants a map to find their house or these two rentals, one only needs to ask. They have made a lot of enemies, so there are lots of people that would be glad to help you try and find them for negotiation reasons.

Yep that's them! On FaceBook. Bob does not have Robert listed as a child anymore, but he is friends with David Vick, who lists his parents as Libby and Robert Vick. You do not have to be friends to send them a message.

Anything could be. However if they were you would think they would have filed some charges themselves. And would have had some sympathy for the people they have taken money from. I spoke to the real estate agent that he told he deserved the money, and remember the ex-employee he offered to split the rental money with if they did not tell cabin owners how frequent their cabins rented. I think if they were people with hearts and ripped off themselves they would feel bad and would have made some phone calls and notified people. Not let people drive from all over the country to read a sign about Libby's high blood pressure. If they were ripped off, and still handled things the way they did- it shows their character. A reporter told me that it is gambling and tax debt they are in.

Remember your contract was through Fontaine Cabin Rentals. A company which is now closed with reservations canceled due to health reasons. How could any of us ever trust something that comes in a Fontaine envelope. Other cabin owners are not honoring our reservations. They just want to make money. Fontaine Cabin Rentals have stated that they are closed. You do not have a contract with at private owner- talk about not have any backing. We are not getting any from a larger company that has screwed us. Don't trust a private owner, let alone a VICK. So Daddy got his money for the cabins but I know my cabin owner did not. They just want to still make money off Mt. Critter Lodge and Castle on the Green. Just b/c it's his father does not mean you have a contract with him. Did your letter even address YOU, your check in and out dates... What as*urance do you have? None... Go after your money due back- they canceled on us- your not canceling on them- the letter states that Fontaine Cabin Rentals has canceled our reservations- they are not owed any cxl fee- We are... Pursue what your owed. Call everywhere you can, TV Newspaper, BBB, TREC, Sheriff Dept. .....

Received letterS from Fontaine yesterday. One was from Fontaine Cabin Rentals saying they would give refunds pro-rata. There was then a handwritten note at the bottom stating that the property would be rented by its owner. In the same envelope was a later from Bob Vick (unsigned) saying that he would be renting it directly and our rental would be honored, etc. "Bob Vick" is Robert's father I believe. At this point, I do not want anything to do with these guys. They have yet to address anything I have asked them for.

For credit card disputes: also include all three articles in the mt. press. Go to the bottom of the Mt. Press page and under search type in Vick. Even if the last two articles are not about you and your family, the fact the press is so involved can only help your case with your company. My packet to TREC had 26 pages and my credit card had even more... Good Luck everyone!

Of course Pioneer had not been heard of prior to all this~ Pioneer is new. We now all know of it, because we tracked Peggy down! She was so helpful at Fontaine Cabin Rentals, her name is one I remember. I think the fact that we remember her as a great person to deal with is a good thing. So I'm sure the cabin owners felt the same. If not why would they have gone with her.What- think she held a gun to their heads? Or bribed them with the money she stole- oh wait that was Vick-someone you site as a good refferal! How the hell did YOU actually get to speak with him anyway??? I'm sure the cabin owners were grateful that she turned down Vicks offer of sharing the profits from rentals and not telling the owners how often their places rented. That would make me trust her- she put herself out there by giving that statement to Det. Hodges. Also Shamie~ we are well aware that there are many cabin companies... I am the person who posted the Fontaine Cabin Rentals Closed post on Trip Advisor. I am also a cabin owner who was with Fontaine Cabin Rentals during this whole disaster. I started referring people to Peggy at Pioneer because I knew she previously worked at Fontaine and she had the names of most of the cabin owners. She also had their phone numbers and could contact the owners to tell them when people were looking for their cabin. I know Peggy very well and have known her for many years. I only referred people to her due to this crisis, not to give her business. Peggy has been a godsend for so many people during this nightmare. Just so you know that most of the posts on Trip Advisor were not made by Peggy. I also went with another cabin rental company -- not Pioneer. So do read so much into all the compliments to Peggy. She has really helped out so many people.

My bank also has a 60 limit on card disputes. HOWEVER... If you tell them your full story, they should be willing to try to run the dispute through anyway. Too, if you haven't yet, you should call Detective Hodges with Sevier Co. Sheriff's Office. She can then give you a case # that you can then provide with your docu*entation for your card dispute. It should/may help.

I did not know it included someone who would direct you to another rental company when you tell her your looking for your favourite cabin and it's not with her business. (Nor her doing the postings.)That's what happened with me. Plus she gave a statement to the police(which she did not have to put herself out there) which will help us all!!! Be sure to call Det. Hodges with Sevier Co. Sherrif's Office and try to call the investigative reporter at WATE Channel 6 in Knoxville. He has been briefly informed of the situation. Also file a complaint with TREC. These are things we can be doing while we wait to see the outcome. Also file a dispute with your bank if you have used a CC to book your rental with Fontaine.

Oh it is a crime. There is proof of intent to steal from cabin owners. A former employee of Vick's was offered by Vick to split the cabin rental fees with the employee and not tell the owners their cabins were rented as often as they were. Det. Hodges is aware of this and has taken a statement from the employee. Sounds criminal, not civil to me! How about not only the money we are due but the time spent on this and emotional distress~ I'm sure Det. Hodges needed that vacation and is not looking forward to her return. Yes, there is a big question as to whether anything to this point is actually "legal" or not. After speaking with Det. Hodges last week, she seems to agree; but she is talking to as many affected people as possible to see if there is anything. The Sheriff's Office and TREC are trying to investigate the Vicks; but until something legal is uncovered, there is little they can do. The Vicks are evidently laying low at this point. Call the detective, file with TREC, try a CC dispute with your bank. These are the things you can be working on at the moment.

I just spoke with the Better Business Bureau and filed a complaint. The lady told me there wasnt anything they could really do at this point and that the Tennessee Real Estate Commission was looking into the matter. I then called the TREC at 615-741-2273 and left a message for Carneal House. We need every person effected in this to flood the Tennessee Real Estate Commission with complaints. I called the Sevier Sheriffs Dept and Det Hodges is on vacation this week. The officer I spoke with was well aware of the situation and stated that at this point everything was a civil matter. Keep calling the TREC...enough calls will make this a criminal matter.

Wow...I love the cabin but that is a lot of money for two bedrooms, great room with living room, kitchen, and dining combined. It does have two bathrooms with one of them used as the utility room also. The jacuzzi is up stairs. The deck is in need of serious attention and the sliding screens are falling out. I guess the view and privacy are worth something or in this case lots of somethings. The cabin is very secluded from the other cabins as cabins go in Cobbly Knob. (It should be spelled Knob, Rob Vick did not like it when I nicknamed it CK.)

Another place to call and file a complaint is the local chamber of commerce. Maybe a call to the Mayor's office and county board. Does anyone know if there is an tourist bureau for the area? Might be another place to give a call to and voice your happiness. FYI in the stat of Illinois thief of $1000 or greater is felony fraud. So you might want to file through your own state attorney general's office besides the one in TN. So does anyone know any local attorneys in the area??

Thank you so much... The only way we are finding out what to do is each other. I think about all the others who got their money back from their cc and did not know they coul go any further... or those who know nothing until they walk up to check in...you should place your post on tripadvisor too so more affected will know what to do
